I agree that people should be honest in there listings and dealings.I was just wondering if the shafts were never touched and the person used a different shaft on it and played with it but the cue was mint, would it still be 100% but then again who would know, lol.Hey Joe will you be at Port on Tuesday?, hopefully there is action, last week was a wash.

You have to be careful with the 100%, designation. Any extensive wear will show on a cue, especially in the wrap. You will have small scratches from wiping the cue down, that someone with a trained eye will notice.

Will probably be there. :D

Mark is leaving for vegas and it would be a wasted trip. We are thinking of hosting an AZ meet and greet in June. Maybe a two or three day/night affair. Cheap hotels in the area, lots of alcohol and a swimming pool :)

Joe,
Was the Barry Szamboti Titlist #200 cue you had on your website a totally unhit cue? Brand new?

Tim,
To be honest, it was a long time ago and I do not remember the whole story. on the cue. In this case, and most cases, the cue pictures came to me with a description from Mark. There are times where I don't know the whole history of the cue, and vice versa when I post one of mine.

Sorry I couldn't of been more helpful.

What concerns me about some cue dealers is that they sell some nice high end cues that have been refinished buy other than the original cuemaker. That's fine if it is disclosed, but to find out later is costly on some cues. At the Derby City this year I asked a large cue dealer if several of the cues I was looking at have been refinished and he said no. Upon further inspection and showing him the problems he said they probably were. This is not directed to Joe or Classiccues.

Tim,
And I believe we found out that this was indeed the case in this very thread. But what I can tell you about that #200 is when Mark got it, it went into a custom Whitten case and was vaulted. All work was by Barry on that cue. But I cannot make a statement about the "unhit"/"untested" portion because I really don't know.
But another thing that happened to me was I bought a slew of SW's a few years ago and was told they were "original". I came to find out by looking at Proficient's website that they were not that original. I contacted the buyers and offered to buy them all back, plus shipping if they weren't happy.

TIGHT POCKET BILLIARDS, IN EAST STROUDSBURG, PA. I THINK IT'S MORE EVEN TO PLAY IN A NEUTRAL ROOM.
