I had talked to mandersotx about going to Spring Creek Barbeque, but if Bigtruck and Firecracker are going to have a match-up, maybe we could go to the Babe's by The Billiard Den.

It's in Garland and the address is:

1456 Beltline Road
Suite 171
Garland, Texas 75044

It's only a few miles (if that) from The Billiard Den. Here's a Google Maps link.

I've been there once before (just to see if it was actually there) with TxOnePocket and he seemed to enjoy it.

I'm in!

Sounds like fun! Ya'll have to take photos and tell me how it went - I wont be able to go. It IS yummy, tho!!! I loved it. :)

Bump

A little bump for a great event and tournament.

I am going to try and make out to Babe's this time. Heard the food is fantastic!

It's actually a bit further than I thought, but you can follow Arapaho until it turns into Garland and it's just south of Belt Line. The parking situation is definitely much better than the Carrolton one (IMHO).

Charlie, do I need to bring my computer to Shooters so you can hunt and peck between games? :) Good to see you on here.

Hi Mark! It was nice to meet you today. Guess my camera gave away my cover, huh?

I hope to have the photos from the Earl/Johnny exhibition and school up by tomorrow night.... If I ever get sleep from Hurricane Ike. *yawn*

Hi Melinda, very nice to meet you also. It was great to put a person with the forum identity. Were there any other AZ'ers there? I didnt get to meet everyone.

Thanks again for all the work you do for the sport.

Hey Mark, better leave the computer at home, I don't want Tammie laughing too hard, she might miss a shot or call delay of game on me.

Nancy got the paper work in for her CHL, so when is your next class.

Thanks for the kind words!

Yep, there were a few AZers besides you and me. I don't want to blow their cover tho. :p

As promised, here is the photo gallery from the exhibition and the sessions we had in our 4 hour class.

The challenge match has been moved to Rusty's in Arlington.
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=110807

Any of the players attending the OB event up for dinner on Friday night with us?

Challenge Match! :)

I can lead the dinner plans. I scoped out the area and see lots of potential places, but the key is finding a place with room if we have a large group.

I don't know how the food is, but I found this place that will let us have a banquet room for free:

http://www.oldcountrybuffet.com/

It's only a mile or so south of Rusty's. If anyone has other ideas, let me know.

I've been there and it's not terrible... at least, not for breakfast. It's at least a notch above Golden Corral.

My vote is still Ton's (okay, I'm pushing this one), which is a buffet where you pick out your own food and they cook it for you. They have tofu for the veggies out there as well as lots of broccoli and mushrooms (and beef and chicken and lamb and shrimp), which I'm a big fan of! They are also pretty good sized with some big tables for groups. It's about 3 miles South of Rusty's.

The address is (according to Google Maps):

1171 SW Green Oaks Blvd
Arlington, TX 76017

Whatever you guys decide is fine though. I just really like Ton's! :p
