It's Over - Don't Even Think

More than 48 hours have gone by and Mike did NOT say YAY or NAY...so by default the answer is NAY. NAY....a thousand times NAY.

So all of you FL bashers can just pack it up and go off into another thread and bitch there. It ain't gonna happen!

And Smorgie....I KNOW YOUR HEART IS BROKEN :rolleyes: , but as much as you wanted him back :rolleyes: , looks like you lost. Too bad......

I could care less about who gets into what battle with whom - and I try to stay out of these things because I am not here to cause trouble, tick people off, etc. Again I am here to learn. I read all the forums and post to all the forums.

And I have learned some good stuff from each and every forum.

With that said, I have many videos/books by some "pros" which have done *nothing* for me. In some cases I have seen them demonstrating how to shoot a particular shot, yet they leave out "some of the necessary details". This advice has not done much to help my game. (A few pros do give excellent advice, share *all* their knowledge, etc.)

FL is one who has given me advice which has helped my game tremendously.

1. He told me Jimmy Reid was an excellent instructor. (I then bought Jimmy Reid's videos and learned quite a bit from them. Best videos I ever bought. I am very grateful for this advice.)

2. He said that a player should be able to "run 3 friggin balls". This may sound silly, but it is the key. If you can shoot in a ball, then leave good position for the second, then the third... well that is all there is to it. If you can do this with 3 balls, then you can do this with more than 3 balls.

So that is all there is to it in my book. It does not matter to me if a person is an "upstanding member of society" or whatever. The question is: Do they give good advice which helps my game or not?

I was busy getting the newspaper ready to print and playing in a big tourney over the weekend. (Well, big for Arizona).

(I have no idea exactly who I am talking to on this board many times, but I suspect there are quite a few pros lurking about. I know I get some *very* good advice here, that's for sure!)
 
I remember people wanting to ban and get rid of FL five years ago. lol. He's still alive. lol.
