While in your diagram it froze on the 7th rail, I wouldn't count that unless it hit and came off, even a hair.

At snooker, if you hit a hook by freezing on the ball...it’s a good hit.
...hitting a rail is the same thing.

And if a ball is froze to a rail you have to drive that ball to another rail.

Just my thought on this.

I was thinking when you said "Follow" it was going to be a much fuller hit with high english.

So, if your opponent is playing a soft safety and just gets the one ball to a cushion and it freezes, you're going to tell him he didn't get a cushion.

I think that will lead to an interesting, earnest conversation.

Here's a 9-railer that VP4 says is possible. A thin cut like this isn't a follow shot - in fact, hitting the CB high could slow the CB's rebound off the first end rail.
