Sexual Dimorphism in Clueless Pool Players

 Sorry, I don't have any crack.

I wrote, "marbles" originally, then remembered my manners. But since they are not needed when conversing with you... :p

So you smoked it then? Alright, I completely understand. It's the crack talking, not you.

And wow, those sure are some zingers you have been throwing. Your manners are not needed when conversing with me? I mean wow, that's just brutal. I am shocked and appalled, I may never be the same.

Well, that certainly couldn't hurt.

I want to know why on the APA "Womens League" recruitment posters they have the woman use "The Claw"? Or the bridge that looks like your smoking a cigarette. You would think some women out there would point that out.

I also hate some of the behavior displayed by "Social" pool playing women. Which is why I don't take women I date to a pool hall. I know they don't know how to act and it just annoys me. Not to mention I don't want them to know where I basically live.

At one pool hall I use to visit a girl who was drunk next to my table grabed my Schon out of my hand and start playing it like an air guitar. On top of that the boyfriend and his friends just stood and thought it was cute. Or they did until I told them if they didn't take control of that female dog what I was going to do to them.

For the guys the Fencer is what cracks me up. They break and release the bridge stick from the shaft and look like they are fencing right after they nailed the light.

Nice catch! I'll have to look for that poster - unless it's only in ladies' rooms?

 How did the menfolk get the blame?

I should curb my way of teaching pool because of your AZB settings preferences?

BWAH-HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!

:p
David,

I know you believe you travel on a higher path of consciousness, that you are enlightened and the rest of the forum users are not. And because you have this "understanding", call it Zen, call it whatever you like, you feel it is your right and your duty to help others come to understand what has made your existence fruitful.

You imply that you shouldn't have to curb your way of teaching in order to appease the other AZB members. Here's something you really need to accept, no one has asked for you to teach them the path to enlightenment. You thrust your beliefs down everyone's throat. This is what people find aggravating. No one has argued your right to your beliefs, but you need to respect that others may not wish to share in them and may even be offended by them. A person with true "understanding" understands to themselves.

Why don't you create a web page that shares your beliefs and place a link to it in your signature line?. After all, people need to come to religion or spirituality on their own, if you provide a door they may walk through it. If you try to shove them inside, even if there was gold to be had they'd still resist.

In ten years you'll discover another religion and then strive to convert everyone around you once again.

And you, who dares to claim knowledge of another's innermost thoughts, are now going to accuse me of arrogance. :p

No, Mr. K, I laughed outright at the implication, made by whutzizface, that I should do so. People ask questions about pool here, and I provide answers according to a certain method that I have found works well. I don't see any others who do exactly the same thing being harassed and attacked ad hominem (which is a bannable offense, BTW. Read the sticky "rules" post.)

Here's something you really need to accept, no one has asked for you to teach them the path to enlightenment.

Again, you arrogantly claim omniscience, presuming to know what everyone has asked of me.

You thrust your beliefs down everyone's throat.

That feeling of something stuck in your craw is not caused by my beliefs, but by your own bile.

you need to respect that others may not wish to share in them and may even be offended by them.

They need not share in my beliefs, and their offense is their own choice.

A person with true "understanding" understands to themselves.

Where would such a notion have left Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, et. al.?

Why don't you create a web page that shares your beliefs and place a link to it in your signature line?

Because I have more useful things to do.

After all, people need to come to religion or spirituality on their own, if you provide a door they may walk through it.

They won't walk through a door that is not on their path, Mr. K.

If you try to shove them inside, even if there was gold to be had they'd still resist.

"When the student is ready, the teacher appears." I shove nothing inside of anyone. I am no longer Catholic. I simply put what I have learned out here for anyone who wishes to pick up. The rest may pass it by without hindrance.

In ten years you'll discover another religion and then strive to convert everyone around you once again.

Three claims of omniscience in one post. Congratulations!

I didn't use the word arrogant, but funny you should come to that. If the shoe fits. Truth of the matter is David, your inner most thoughts have been posted on this forum ad nauseam, and against my better judgement, I have read the vast majority. Your mantra and your lectures and your philosophies are all very familiar to me at this point. You're kind of a one trick pony no?.

Whuzizface didn't ask you to make any concessions on his behalf, he asked you to make them for the sake of eveyone who frequents the forum.

People ask questions about pool, not about attaining higher spirituality or inner peace through Zen cueism. That's your personal need to editorialize. Your "method of teaching" does not appear to be working very well, it appears that most people find your method quite annoying.

I have a great deal of respect for your right to your beliefs, though I have little respect for you personally. My intention is not to harass, my intention is to "enlighten" you as to why you rub people the wrong way. I'm simply doing this "according to a certain method that I have found works well". Advice of a non-spiritual nature.

Dhakala said:

It seems most people are simply asking you to give it a rest. I can read that with my own two eyes, no arrogance required. I agree that I'm exhibiting a great deal of arrogance towards you, but you get what you give. I respect and enjoy everyone else I've encountered here.

Dhakala said:

My word, are you holding yourself and your zen cueist beliefs up among the likes of Jesus, Mohammed and Buddha?. These people had something to say about loving yourself, your world and everything around you. You're posts are full of intolerance and self-importance. You really are delusional. You suffer from Delusions of grandeur.

Omniscience?, every post you make reeks of this. I won't make mention of the homophobic, misogynistic, condescension though. SHHH, that'll be our little secret. :)

This thread started out with the highly questionable topic of "Sexual Dimorphism in Clueless Pool Players." It has since diverged into a debate over Mr. Hakala's Zen-Buddhist beliefs and his "right" to teach them and impose them upon others.

It seems to me that this thread is long overdue to be closed (due to its irrelevance). Better yet this thread should be deleted. If there were ever a thread that is a complete waste of time reading, this thread is surely it.

Yes, the shoe fits your foot well. Wear it in good health.

You're kind of a one trick pony no?.

No. I am a multifaceted gem of Life, Mr. K., as are we all.

Whuzizface didn't ask you to make any concessions on his behalf, he asked you to make them for the sake of eveyone who frequents the forum.

I don't recall him claiming to speak for everyone, nor does he or you.

People ask questions about pool, not about attaining higher spirituality or inner peace through Zen cueism.

And I answer directly, explaining what is necessary for them to understand the answers and apply them to good effect. It is a poor advisor who only says, "Do this..."

it appears that most people find your method quite annoying.

LOL! How many people do you think "most" is, Mr. K.?

my intention is to "enlighten" you as to why you rub people the wrong way.

Your intent is to persuade me to stop writing things that you do not wish anyone to see. I am well aware of why I rub people like you the wrong way, Mr. K.

It seems most people are simply asking you to give it a rest.

It seems to me that most people have said nothing about the matter. Or does the world consist mainly of you and your ilk?

My word, are you holding yourself and your zen cueist beliefs up among the likes of Jesus, Mohammed and Buddha?.

No. You said that those understand keep their understanding to themselves. J, M, H, et. al., spoke widely and encouraged their disciples to do likewise, else we would know nothing of them. Do you you say they do not understand?

I won't make mention of the homophobic, misogynistic, condescension though. SHHH, that'll be our little secret. :)

I don't wish to share your secret, Mr. K.

What sort of human being cannot control his reading, but must depend upon others to take it away from him?

I have to say that this thread is one of the most enjoyable threads I've read on AZ. I view it as a challenging opportunity! I've received more value from it than most (threads---or readers, it seems). I never once thought him arrogant, just releasing his thoughts to the world. So what's wrong with that? I mean, everyone here does this. I can handle it...in fact, I plan on using some of it and transmuting it into my pool shot.

How could I, being ignorant of Zen, profit from such postings? The same way I profit from sharking attacks. It may hurt at first, but in the long run, pays off for me because the competition for my mind-space makes me work harder at clearing the clutter.

I like to have my conventional thinking challenged and refuted. I give rep points to those who do this FOR me. How else can I grow?...in a perfect little garden of comfortable info?....nah!

How else can anyone grow, if not through challenges?

Oh crap, now I've done it, too,

Jeff Livingston

Thanks, Jeff, I did PM you about the book as well as this "ignore" business. :D

You ask, "How could I, being ignorant of Zen, profit from such postings?"

You are not ignorant of Zen, if you have ever experienced dead stroke. I've never met a player of more than six months who hasn't. All that you are missing is suitable words in which to describe what you have experienced. Zen provides such words. Other words could serve as well.

I look forward to reading your book!

Well there was more to it.

First off if I punched her like I would have if a man did this I would for sure been in a fight with them. Then I'd be a "Woman Beater".

After she took it I yanked it back from her in which she almost fell. She called me a "Mother F'er". Then they came over asking "If I had a problem". I told them she was playing with a $1,000 stick. They basically laughed and said some threatning things to me.

I was fed up so I threatened them by saying "I have an acetylene tank in the back of my vehicle which is used for cutting torches. If you don't leave now I'm going to destroy your car then go to work on you". They didn't believe me and kept hassling me. So I left.

Now I wasn't going to blow up their car. But I sure gave them the scare of their life after I did leave.

I absolutely agree. That's why I think women should be the ones out working in coal mines, building skyscrapers, doing garbage collection, mowing lawn, providing money for the household in "traditional" marriages, carrying heavy grocery bags in from the car, opening doors for their men, offering their jackets to their men when it's cold outside and basically anything else that would demonstrate their strength over that of their weaker, male counterparts.

Oh, you want a woman from Alaska.

Way up north, (North To Alaska.)
