A friend needs his 8' Olhausen's pockets tightened to 4" and de-rattled CORRECTLY and the table re-covered with Simonis.
Does anyone know someone in the San Francisco Bay area who can do this?

Thanks,
Robin Snyder

`How about Ridgeback or other ready to bolt on rails? Ridgeback doesn't list rails for this table but perhaps they can make them. Would something like this be a good option?

Wow! Still no one?

Someone in the SF Bay area has surely had someone competent re-cover and tighten their table with good results, competent meaning it should bank correctly and the pockets should accept balls correctly.

I'm not going to accept that Glen was right about this without a fight.

Someone around here has a pool table that plays correctly that was set up by local talent.
Please step forward and take a bow.

I know of 2 Gold Crown 1's that play phenomenal in the Bay area, but I'm the one that rebuilt them...LOL

Yeah, I know of one of them. This is not a Gold Crown.
This is an 8' Olhausen and it spits out balls like...an Olhausen.
My buddy who owns the table is hot to make it play right and I really hate for him to monkey with it himself. Bad things might happen. I could remove and re-install the rails for him if he could either get them reworked by someone or replaced.
Those pockets are terrible. Something must be done!

all the mechanics in the bay are only use shims to tighten pockets. Might call buffalo billiards sequia billiards admiral tables they have all the tools but never seen solid work from them ever. A1 in hayward has a huge ego and price vert rude but might be able too.

Give me a call easier to explain on who might be your best bet. Might just wanna mail them to a few guys or buy a table already done right for the same price or save a little.

Im in phoenix az now but know a lot about the bay area scene

Craig-
Thanks for the input.

My friend has a lead on a first rate mechanic on the west coast who may be able to do the job, they are not local though.

I still can't understand how Olhausen could have sold these tables with the pocket angles as they are. Amazing.
