Shaft care question

Quit using powder. If your hands get sweaty, use a glove. I never use powder. I wipe the whole cue down with a dry cloth before putting it away.
I'm a lucky one, my hands stay dry. Don't bother with a glove.
One of my best friends for many years was Gene Catrone, "the Glove". His hands could actually drip sweat when he played. He used an old wool fatigue green army glove with the last 2 fingers cut off.

Howya been doin" lof late Dean? You know how fussy I can be about cues. Why don't you
think about sending me one of your pool cue shafts and pick one in need that you'd like to
have restored to a satin smooth finish that literally glides through your bridge fingers. After
I return the shaft to you, I'm confident you'll not only be amazed but eager to learn how too.
Every shaft in my cue case (6 cues &12 shafts) is absolutely flawless & I can do this for you.
Just something to mull over on a rainy day & just to be clear, my offer is limited to only Dean.

Why not let us all in on your secret.

I often wonder why they don't seal the shafts like they do the butt...i am tempted to buy a cheap Mcdermott and throw a couple a dozen coats of clear coat on it just to see what happens...of course I hate cleaning my stupid shafts every week or two, but then I don't want my fellow crackheads at the hall thinking I don't take care of the cues they'll eventually try to walk out of the hall with.
