I broke the shaft of my cue. I take the opportunity here and put a LD shaft, but can not find the thread shaft I need.
My cue is 5/16x18 pilot. if I put a shaft 5/16x18 flat, performance will be the same?

I'm surprised that you can't find one with that TPI and a pilot.
But no, don't worry, it won't make a bit of difference in how the cue plays for you.

We can build you a 5/16-18 with a pilot if you really think it makes a difference.

But, it really doesn't. Most likely, on you're original shaft the pilot doesn't touch anything on the butt anyway.

If you have a qualified cue builder near by, you could purchase an LD blank shaft and have it tapped to whatever size you needed.
