Shaft cuter

Hopefully by then, I will be ready to start using it. I'm buying a house this summer and hopefully going to have the room to start setting up a shop....

i find that i get a much smoother cut with my router, the saw blade leaves a groved line in the shaft that is hard to sand out. maybe i need a new blade.

yes it is other then we re-worked the entire machine this machine was the there first one and as in all first time things there are bugs ...but align rite was really great to deal with and i use there cnc every day a super machine with endless possibilties i use 15k and 10 k bites all the time its on the money! once we get the machine running again who knows we may offer it ourselves......

there tech suport and service is the best!!!

I bought one of the GSIRCA shaft machines from Greg. I have flat ground the kerf and ground the rake out of the sides (I hope I am saying this correctly) on a 60, 80, and 100 tooth 10" expensive blades for my Delta table saw and no matter how I set it up or slow it down I do get some chatter marks on my first pass. However I have found I can ruff cut 12-13 shafts per hour. I let them sit for a year after soaking them in Resolute for 3 min and they turn down great on my lathe with a four slot cutter on my Porter Cable router on my 39" lathe.
