Brass Shaft Inserts Do You Like Them Pre Drilled Threaded Or Not Please Give Me Your Opinion

I always use the 7/16-14 threaded inserts. I don't even like the perfect inserts. Is there an advantage to untapped blanks?

If you drill, bore, and tap it after you've installed it, it's gonna be as true as your setup.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think when Lee was asking about the inserts being drilled and tapped, he was talking about the inside diameter, not the outside, which is what I believe you are speaking of.

I like the CNCed type with the locating barrel on them. They are very accurate, and very easy to install.
