Question for the cuebuilders. What is the BEST way to store shafts? I am sure that there are several ways to store them. However, given your choice how would you store them.

Shaft Storage - Which is Best?

I store mine in cases, upright.
Heres an idea for inexpensive shaft storage if you have more shafts than cases space. (like me)
1 piece of baseboard. (However long you want to make it)
Utility hooks, the same we use for hanging wood. Shafts and forearms.
Space them and screw them 1" apart on the baseboard.
Go to Muellars Pool and Darts and buy how many Shaft Hangers you need.
(Very inexpensive at Muellars)
Hang baseboard on wall. Preferably somewhere where the temperature is acceptable for storing your cues and shafts.

Are you talking about extra shafts for your cue or shaft blanks, that you are cutting for a new cue?...JER

I have shafts that are 30 years old & they are in a soft case, hanging on the back of a bedroom door, from a nail. They are still straight...JER

All of my shafts sit in a rack until they are finished then they go in a cue case.
