Shaft threads??

What kind of bit or tool is used to make threads into the shaft. 3/8 - 10, 11, 14, radial. Thanks.

Everywhere I go nobody has got a tap for wood, all metal. What is a thread grinder & where can I get one. I want to make a few pairs of JP's for my cues. Thanks for the response.
