SOLD and paid for - thanks
I have recently purchased a new (to me) lathe, so I'm gonna sell the one I have been using for tips and shaft cleaning etc..

Its a good way to start doing your own tips and learn a lot on the cheap.

this is the Shaftmaster lathe they sell w/o a motor designed to be powered by a drill, otherwise I think its the same as the full one they advertise on their website. You can google and see it if you like or if you want I can send pic;s of mine if you are interested

I believe they sell for close to 200.00 w/o the drill I will sell mine for 125.00plus shipping and include the drill. The drill has the adjustable speed/locking trigger works well for the purpose. The drill is NOT cordless.

The only thing missing from the way they sell it is the handheld file - which I never used and can be purchased from any hardware store.

I used mine only for tips and cleaning, sealing, taking the dings out of shafts.

i tried to google it, but I can't find a single picture or even reference to a Shaftmaster lathe without a motor.

I seem to remember seeing one like it somewhere, but tis nowhere to be found.

Also, are you sure it's "the same except the motor"?? that little motor does not sell for $600, which is the approx difference between the Shaftmaster portable lathe and your thingamajig.

pics...1000 words...and all that

these might be the worst pic's ever but should get the idea - it is adjustable in terms of length and other wise what you see is what you get

the full version has a tool post type thing and a lamp, the hand file I'm not sure what else- this 1 comes with the drill and whatever else you see in the pic's that is attached to the frame - (not the shaft) - hope that helps!

Hi Rip I sent you a pm with the info.

I really like that cue in your avitar - the grain of the butt is striking - I'm a butt man from way back - who made it?
