Shafts - anyone interested ?

i have some shafts that i don't know what to do with .. anyone interested in making an offer on what's available ? rather it all go to one person as shipping individual shafts will be crazy expensive !

from the left:

B Szam for my G Szam- not for sale

3 x josswest - 1 is available ( will keep 2 in case i ever get a buyer for the joss west )

3 x burton spain - Not for sale ( they will go with the cue )

2 x dpk - not for sale ( i have a total of 4 for this cue )

1 x OB1 that came with the showman cue i have ( not sure if i want to sell ) ... will probably just hang on to it till i sell the cue .. the eventual buyer of the cue should have first right of refusal i guess...

2 x shafts that came with 2 different black boar cues - i am sure both are not original but play well

1 x Z2 for 5/16 x 14

2 x unfinished bert schrager shafts - don't even want to climb that tree..

1 x kenny murrell shaft ( finish is coming off at the base ) but plays incredibly ... put that on my cork schrager sometimes...

i just took this photo with my cell phone .. don't really have any weights / tip sizes / ferrule material details with me ..

if anyone is interested in all 7 available shafts, i will sit and put in the effort this weekend, if not, they can just hang there till the end of time ...

ok, seems like everyone wants a price indicator ...

also these are hanging in my office .. i think the JW / BB shafts have ivory ferrules


feel free to correct me if you think these are out of line:

$175 for the JW - radial
$120 for the 2 BB wanabe ( $240 total ) - 5/16 x 14
$170 for the Z2 5/16 x 14
$100 for 2 x bert and 1 x murrell ( $300 total ) 3/8 x 10

total $885 for 7 shafts
$50 for shipping...

grand total: $ 935.-

does that sound fair ?

they are all in average and USED condition...

yea cos the rubber tends to leave minute marks on the collars if you leave them hanging for a long time .. say a couple of months ... then when i did use the shaft , the slight white discoloration used to drive me crazy !

i now only insert the shafts up to the ferrules .. the rubber never contacts the wood - most of the ferrules i have are ivory so there is no such problem .. the ivory cleans off easily.

clarification

the BB shafts, as stated in the original post, are NOT ( in my opinion ) original shafts.

i do not want to sell single shafts ..ie, 7 shafts to 7 different people.

if anyone is interested in purchasing ALL of them or Most of them, let me know....

ferrules

the JW has an ivory ferrule with a moori medium tip ( silver ring ) -

the 2 BB-like shafts also have ivory ferrules .. no idea on the tip ( both with silver rings )

the Murrell has a non-ivory ferrule with a new moori tip .. the joint collar also has some finish peeling off ... plain black collar

Z2 also has a silver ring .. if i recollect correctly, the tip was installed by predator and is a moori medium.

no dings - only normal discoloration on the above shafts / ferrules ...

ps. since i have several enquires on single shafts, i am looking into shipping cost but i think it will still be around 20 per box/shipment.

let me know if you guys still want 'em...

it would cost me $4 for each box and about $15 for postage .. this is regular parcel post NO TRACKING - total cost of postage would be $20

i am guessing the shaft would take about 10 days to get there...

if i use the premier service with a tracking number, shipping would be $35.-
delivery should be within 5 days.

no more details after this...

1 pics of the shafts in the posts below...

2 all are used well, blued, with marks on the ferrules and along the shaft

3 they all have a slight roll ( could be because i am rolling them on my office table which is on carpet but i don't want any trouble later... so let's just say they all have a slight wobble ) - that is, they are NOT perfectly straight ...

4 particular attention to the Murrell as that is probably in the worst condition.

ok, this is some serious fire wood...

they are unfinished, rough to the touch, dirty, ferrules look like crap and the joint just has to be seen to be believed !

if you are not a collector of wierd stuff, leave this alone !

i will have to measure it... back to the office on monday.. will let you know then...

I was under the understanding that you wouldn't separate the shafts. I pmed you right after your post appeared. It would only seem fair that I'd get first choice

yes you are right . but no one wanted all 7, hence my post about the cost of individual boxes and shipping..

plus there were issues with sending wire transfers to hong kong ...

anyway, no worries.. which shaft are you interested in ?

I'm kicking up an old thread here, I know, but this thought occurred to me while I was browsing the boards.... Kam, you say the hangers left a mark on the ferrules.... Have you tried putting some joint caps on the shafts and hanging the shafts from the joint caps? That way you could keep the rubber off the cues themselves completely.

Just a thought...
