I've got to give a special shout out to....

Those are the names of all the folks on my scotch doubles league on Monday nights. We just won the championship tonight!!!! Each yr we go back & forth between 1st & 2nd and sometimes 3rd through out the season but were never able to "seal the deal".

Tonight we sealed the deal. It is my understanding that the team we played has won the championship every yr they've played. (I don't know how many that is but it's at least 3) In a race to 9 they won the 1st 4 games. At 4-0 them, we cowboy'd up and won the next 7 games to make it 7-4. We lost one more and went on to win 9-5.

Thank you to my team for not only playing a great season but for really stepping up tonight. The whole team rallied together when we were down 4-0 and we came back to win it.

Thanks for the memories guys! ;)
 
Congratulations, T, that was a great comeback. I was gonna get in one of those scotch doubles deals, but I can barely handle beer, much less double scotches.
 
And you try to make us all believe that you don't play pool anymore....Yeah, right! Anyway, congratulations!

I'm just an alternate but due to some folks working a swing shift type of job I end up playing a little more than a normal alternate would. Besides, it's just barboxes and those don't really count as playing pool do they??? :p

Congrats Timberly!!

Cross your fingers for my team tonight as we go for our 8th straight championship. The rest of the teams got tired of us pulling off the league so they started "playoffs" this year.

I also am threatening my teammies tonight with nuts. We win, they get nuts. We lose, they do, too. Okay, maybe it's not a nice thing to do but I'm really after an effect here.

lol I played her a month or 2 ago and she told me she hadn't hit a ball for months! Then she robbed me for table time!

Congrads Timberly, to you and your team. Of course bar boxes count. They are just different. Your team is the bar box champs of your league. Bar boxes are maybe a little easier but they were that way for everyone in your league so your the champs.
