Shane is not better than Earl

Shane wins Turning Stone!

Shane is very resilient.

However, I wish guys would stop letting him off the hook. Dechaine should have taken him down. He really had him beat and then let him get off the mat- he dogged the first game and should have been out in the last.

Gotta give credit to Shane though- he makes the most of his opportunities

I don't really care how good the guy plays if he is saying

he is clueless.

I have known alot of REALLY good pool players who are not that smart and simply have natural talent and the eyes for the game and who also don't have to worry about their brain getting in the way of their success, he sounds like one of them. Anyone who can watch Earl's pattern play and the way he shoots pool and could say the above seriously has no clue what they are talking about, whether they can shoot pool or not.

And what exactly makes you an expert on pattern play? Have you noticed that Earl shoots while looking the the cue ball last? Maybe that is why he choked those easy ones in the Mosconi Cup. He is not saying that Earl is clueless, just that he could have been a hell of a lot better if he had learned to play pool the correct way. Pe'rsonally, I like Buddy Hall's shot selection and pattern play better than Earls, FOR EXAMPLE. So, what yah gwanna say now? I can tell you this: with Earl's talent (as good as you say it is) he should be a much stronger player - yet, Efren beat him in the big match. You guys make him sound like a God - NOT! Just think about it.

The sharking Dechaine did with the re-racking too svb was very earl like and un cool. It was good to see Dechaine get beat.

I second that......didn't like what Dechaine was doing. Seems he has that kind of reputation. Classless

Yeah, I'm not saying Dechaine is a classy guy or anything, but he certainly let Shane off the hook.

Dechaine may have some rough edges, but I think he could challenge Shane for top American shooter in the years to come- Dechaine is only 24 or something like that

aggreed- Dechaine acted like a douche. I wish I could have handled him as cool as SVB did but I have a feeling he would have sparked something bad in me. He needs to act like a pro. Pool needs a ref to rack and not let players check the rack when on TV or streams if at all possible. Makes the game look better to non pool players/ potential sponsors. We need the game to grow and bickering over the rack aint the way.

I know some internet keyboard jockey did not just try and point out what they perceived as a flaw in Strickland... That may keep me laughing well into the new year....... Thanks for the post :rotflmao1:

I feel everyone has their own technique. Whether you look at the cue ball last or the ob, what ever works for you. Not to mention if you're lined up right looking at the cb might keep your stroke true.

Dechaine is definitely a douche..

Does no one remember when he came into the booth during the OMGWTF challenge match and kept going on about how he'd like to gamble with either one of them?

He was not as well known back then, but it definitely made an impression on me..

Dechaine a brat

Mike Dechaine puts off such a bad vibe when he plays, you find yourself pulling real hard for the little turd to lose or fall and break his neck. Either one would be fine. Acts like a spoiled little brat!!

First of all, you guys have very little clue what you are talking about about. You will sit here and slam me but take no attention to Shane slamming the rack on the table when I was up 7-4. I felt like your ittle sweetheart Shane sharked me. I am sorry that I educate myself with information about the rack and I am not going to let him or anyone else try to give me a bad one. Last of all, I go into my matches wanting to win. I may bring in a attitude that is unpleasant but I am the complete opposite after my match. I just don't know how to compete otherwise.
Thanks

I may have reacted rashly with the words I wrote. I guess I just reacted emotionally to what I saw and felt. Hey I guess we all are guilty of that.

As far as your game goes, I do respect your game however. I have watched you play several times on live stream and you tube and you always plays strong.

And I've never seen you act out of line. I guess I shouldn't judge by something I've seen only once. Sorry

How can you explain multiple players in the tournament complaining about your racking?
