Did Shane run out of gas or just lose concentration in the last rounds of the Derby? When he's on I don't believe anyone can beat him. Like when he played Bumbreck, in the late rounds, in a zone for sure. Against Soquet, it seemed like he could not say focused, I saw part of the first match, didn't see the second.
When he played Adam Smith, seemed like he was coasting. I'm sure he was tired, to say the least, exhausted would probably be a better description.

Too many excuses..why can we just say that the guy who beat SVB is a better player than him.

Soquet just happens to be one of the best in the world... Him beating Shane shouldn't surprise anyone

No that's not "Enuff said". I don't think Souquet gambles. That's why he won't gamble with him. What the hell does that have to do with it anyway. If they're both trying their hardest, it doesn't make any difference whether they're gambling or not.

a win is a win and you can't get any sweeter than that....either money game or tournament ...they both play their best and winner is the best man and the looser is not the better man...congrats to Soquet by winning the 9 ball!!!!!

I dont think Shane slept at all. I was at the Derby 6 days and it seemed like he was playing somewhere day or night. :D

well

shane played his matches during the day and i saw him in action almost everynight until the early morning then he had to play those mornings and he won more this week than the players that did good in the tournys

Both Ralph and Shane are stone cold champions, capable of beating anyone at any given time. In a race to 7 in 9ball its a coin flip.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shane HAS to win the Action/Entertainment award! He was in action every night, and he never bet small. And he was winning almost every bet too. The only guy who made more money than him for the week was probably Bustamante, who won the All Around and 20K bonus. Shane won over 20K in the action room!

some of us guys in the chat room last night were trying to figure out about how much money shane made in the action room and we came to somewheres around 60 or 70k we thought. not bad for the 2nd week of the year? i'd say not ... but look how hard he worked for it. and look how many hours he's put in in practice to get there...
