Friends, here are some pictures of Shane Van Boening and
his very beautiful pool cue made by custom cuemaker Pat Diveney!

I had this cue in my hands and i can tell you its balanced as well as it looks. Very nice cue he told me that he would have no trouble adjusting to it as it feels very much like his old cue. He was using the Diveney shaft that came with it and i think he plans on staying with it.

Thanks for the great info, my friend!

Sure, custom made for Shane. What's the odds on him playing with the cue "as is" in 6 months? What are the odds he even owns the cue in 6 months?

The cue looks great but Shane has a custom that he has played with for a long period of time and is comfortable. Why would he change?

I recall when SVB had an OB1 shaft that was "all the rage". I asked him myself at the WCO and he was nice enough to say he "liked the shaft" but when he played I noticed he didn't use that shaft.

It's just a really difficult position a player is put in when someone offers "something". Can they actually play with the product? Feel varies by person so I would be very surprised in the long run if Shane plays with the cue.

Thanks for the questions...

Hi Duane!

With regards to "What's the odds on him playing with the cue "as is" in 6 months? What are the odds he even owns the cue in 6 months?" - i guess we will know the answer to that question after six months.

With "Why would he change?" - I sincerely feel that it is a question that could only be answered by Shane.

With regards to "It's just a really difficult position a player is put in when someone offers "something," - Shane ordered one for himself from Pat Diveney after trying out a particular Diveney cue from another pro pool player.

And with "Can they actually play with the product? Feel varies by person so I would be very surprised in the long run if Shane plays with the cue" - Shane won the tournament in Davenport using this cue, and it was the first time he shot with it! And i kid you not! :)
