Shane broke and plopped the cue ball straight in the side pocket, leaving Ko a 1-10 combination. Now Ko broke and ran out, and is on the hill.

Ko 20-17 Shane

Shane will have chance for short rematch as both he and Ko are in same group for the CSI 10 ball tourney that starts tomorrow. Shorter race though race to 7 or 8 I think:grin:

Good match by both players. Shane could've easily played a lot better. Ko's break was really off til near the end.

Did they say how big the pockets were?

IMHO they both made quite number of errors and it was not best performances from both. Break not working for both. But Shane made more errors on easier shots which probably affected him mentally. Ko was much tougher mentally- he was rock solid taking tough shots and playing left handed. Gutsy performance behind 4 racks in first half of match and eventually winning by 4 racks meaning he had to go up 8 racks under pressure. On this performance Ko is better than Shane playing catch up. IMHO there is probably little that separates their technical game but what separated them is the mental game, And also age -Ko is at least 5 years younger and unfazed. Unfazed kids are tough opponents :D

Sounds like it was a real tough battle, wish I could have seen it.

Okay, so Ko beat Shane, but what I really want to know is does he still have that Asian boy band hairstyle going?
It looks so soft and fluffy, I hope he didn't change it.

Think you'll get disappointed Vic

I had to leave the venue to pick up my family, and it was 16-16... I had the feeling that KPY was on a strong comeback to win it, at one point he was down 4 games. Congratulations to KPY. I'm certain him and the rest of the Taiwanese contingent will put on a great show for everyone!
