In the finals James scratched 4 times on the break and still lost only 7-5 the first set. Not bad for alternating break format. He sure was pumped. He gave Shane at least 2 more ball in hands in the final set too.

I have known James for years but only recently spent any amount of time around him. I truly believe that James is a Diamond in the rough. If he stays the course he will truly be able to write his own ticket in pool. He's an all around great guy who's personality is infectious. He is considerate of others and is committed to continuous improvement. It's a winning formula.

wow, 9 ball barbox is tricky, you better break and run with alternate format or your getting beat, looks like james was just breaking better and getting more opportunities. I'd like to see him play on a 9ft. he plays great barbox thats for sure.

I agree with everything you said but I'm not so sure about the Diamond in the rough comment but he sure is tough and sharp as a Diamond.
 
My hats off to James Jr in this match. He missed nothing, got one quasi-lucky roll on the 2 safety - on rack 8 I believe.

Spotless play.

Thanks for the video, you have a great voice for commentating. It reminds me of a Jim Nantz/Brent Musberger combination.

Side note : I am really diggin Shane's shoes , will probably pick up a pair as I have a matching golf shirt of the same color . Found some similar that have the same neon color as Shane's do .......maybe it's a move ???
