I saw Shane put on Facebook that he had a 7 hour wait for his flight after the SBE. Does anyone know if he had to cancel an earlier flight because the ask him to hang around for over an hour after his match to attend the trophy presentation with Darren and Karen and Morra?
 
Why does this matter?
Did he post that making him wait was the reason?
Or are you looking for drama?
 
I wonder what the movie was.
Hopefully, it was Bridge of Spies...my personal favorite in the last year...
...had zero chance of winning best picture though...
....comic books seem to be the basis of popular flics likely.

He posted a selfie and said he was the only one in the entire theater. More important is did he cancel an earlier flight to stay for the group trophy presentation. If so it shows a lot of respect for the event.

The Jungle Book (according to his FB post.

As to the timing, I would expect that SVB would have booked his flight on the assumption that he was going to win the event (a reasonable assumption if you are SVB) so I would be surprised if he had to change anything to stick around for the presentation.

Only once have I went to a movie by myself, it was many, many moons ago seeing a matinee in the nice theaters of Cerritos California. As I was coming out of the darkness and thinking to myself that the movie had exceeded expectations I realized that I recognized the person coming through the doorway at the same time............it was another pool player (of course by himself also). For some reason I felt embarrassed so I didn't greet him and actually turned so that he didn't recognize me, I'm not a very outgoing or friendly person now and back then I was exponentially worse.

Everyone is pretty much fixated on the movie with childish quips and not the second sentence which is the main purpose of the thread which no one has answered. I should have expected it.

Hmm...don't blame us for focusing on the first part. It's an expected reaction. If I said, "Hey, I hear Shane ate tacos yesterday. Do think it's because they are quicker to digest before his next match. And he's just being strategic to retain focus." Which part would you focus on?

I certainly wouldn't worry about him missing a flight out. What would really bother me are the chickens that will be following him around after eating all that popcorn at the movies.
