I don't know of anyone looking for Shane would be called a world champion? We know that there are Pino's that will play, but the list is short when it comes to people who can win other than them.

Shane can make a big statement by winning the Japan Open and taking over the WPA #1 ranking.
Don't bet against him. Once he takes over the WPA #1 ranking, there will be nothing left to debate, and, in my opinion, having an American as the WPA #1 will be something to celebrate for American pool fans like me.

they will probably have backers; but a lot of them play with their own money too. they dont have plenty though - thirdworld country problems.

You mean pool players in third world countries have even less money than pool players in the U.S? You don't say.....
Already was, by virtue of 2008 World Cup of Pool. What he hasn't won, although nobody seems to get it, is an overseas WPA sanctioned, WPA ranking points event. Perhaps the Japan Open will be his first.

nobody saying he not world class or even on form best in world right now but his accomplishments don't stack up no matter how the nuthugges try to make them

not sure about that, the AAZ money list does not take into consideration all games, tournaments and money matches especially in asia

btw im not referring to the cash he won from csi I mean ko's backer took on all side action well over 20k as far as I saw, my road partner had 2k of it and they left happily
