Shane vs. Alex day two updates.

Great updates. Everyone who can should buy the stream and watch some amazing pool.

Go ALEX!!!!

Alex breaks dry,

Shane has an open shot on the one.

HE makes the one but knocks the five in front of the three, making it difficult to get on the three.

Shane tries to draw off of the two and hits a ball and ends up slightly behind the six. He attempts a masse safe and goes a little far, leaving Alex an open shot.

Alex runs out and ties it up at 40.

40-40.

Alex breaks dry,

Last time Alex broke dry Shane ran seven racks on him...

Shane gets to the two and tries a two way shot for the two and the ten with shape for the three and misses both the two and the ten.

Alex runs to the four which has half a pocket but makes the four with great shape on the four.

He may take the lead for the first time today.

Alex runs out to take a one game lead.

41-40

Shane breaks dry

Shane is struggling with his break so far today, I think he needs to switch sides like he did last night.

Alex plays a one three combo and lets the one go a bit. The one semi lines up for a one nine combo.

Alex elects to play safe and this is in his favor. As long as Alex can control the pace of the match Shane is in trouble and will continue to struggle.

Shane miscues and gives Alex BIH.

Alex runs to the five and plays a five ten carom in the side to take the lead once again.

42-41.

Alex breaks and makes a ball

He can see the one but doesn't have an open shot.

I don't know if it's just Alex's style or if he is purposefully slowing down to control the pace of the game but this is what was killing Shane in the middle of the match yesterday.

Alex keeps him from developing any momentum.

Alex takes three minutes to shoot and then plays a routine safe on the one.

Shane hits the ball and gets a rail.

He leaves Alex a three ball combo that is relatively easy (in the pocket and wired).

He hits it a little firm and gets a lucky roll avoiding getting locked behind the four.

Alex was stuck playing a two five combo and rattles the five.

Shane makes the two five combo and gets a little hooked behind the ten.

He plays a jump shot on the two and bumps the four giving himself a difficult shot.

He elects to play a lockup safe and pulls it off perfectly locking the CB on the ten.

Alex has to play a z kick while threading between nine and six and hit kicks safe with the z kick.

Shane kicks the four and leaves Alex an open shot.

Alex runs out to increase his lead to two games.

The only reason I didn't really remark on that kick safe that much is that I'm pretty sure he was only trying to hit it.

The only reason I didn't really remark on that kick safe that much is that I'm pretty sure he was only trying to hit it.

That could be, but I wouldn't put it past him to try and hit the bottom side of the 5 there.

In any case just hitting the ball was very, very difficult.

The lion is starting to roar.

Alex breaks and makes three balls.

He's got an open shot at the one.

Alex banks a ball to continue his run.

Alex has a tough shot for the four and jacks up to put some draw on it and it's difficult to tell if he was trying to or not, but it appears he got another lucky roll for a lock up safe.

Alex gets BIH and runs out to get up four games.

Shane breaks three balls

He has an open shot.

He brings shape a little short on the five but cinches it. He ends up straight on the six and has to draw 3/4 of the table to play the seven in the side. Shane finishes the BNR to get within two.

43-45.

Very nice speed on that 6 ball draw shot from Shane. These guys are both dabbing it. Beautiful to watch.

Tables just to tight man.. there I said it.

I wanna see f'n packages, not hard HARD concentration for this long.. let the horses run

Don't get me wrong though, it's bringing the man out of both of them playing on this thing :)

Shane breaks dry

Alex has an open shot on the one.

I think Alex played a safe. Sorry I was hitting balls at the time.

Shane plays rail first and cinches it coming a biscuit from scratching but still has a shot on the four.

Shane plays safe going down table behind the nine.
Alex hits the four but leaves it opne. ot an easy shot, Shane will probably play safe.

Shane plays a great safe using the ten as a stopper for the four.

Alex hits it but leaves a decent shot for Shane.

Shane makes it drawing three rails and hits the five a little less full than he wanted. He plays another safe by thinning the five and putting the CB behind the eight.

Alex misses the ball giving Shane BIH but slops the nine in the way of the five making a difficult shot for shane.

Shane plays the five nine combo, one of the toughest shots I've seen anyone try.

He draws for the six off of the five and then over cuts the six.

Alex finishes it off to take a three game lead again.

46-43

Alex breaks dry,

Shane isn't left with an easy shot on the one.

Shane plays safe leaving the CB frozen to a ball near the head rail and the one ball frozen to the two at the foot rail.

Alex hits it one rail but leaves Shane an open shot.

Shane runs a few balls but Alex ends up back at the table. Not sure what happened I was hitting balls again.

Alex gave himself a tough leave on the seven and that led to bumping the nine infront of the eight and making himself use spin to throw in the eight.

He does it successfully but shape on the nine suffers. He plays a two rail safe with the nine on the head rail and the CB on the foot rail halfway behind the ten.

Shane may have miscued but he misses the nine entirely giving Alex BIH.

Alex finishes the out getting back to a four game lead 47-43.

My current estimate is that Alex will end up ahead by three games at the end of the night.

If Shane can get to a point where he starts finding his rhythm I'll reassess.

Alex breaks and makes two balls.

They moved the ten ball to pick up the rack but they didn't put it back right...

Alex plays safe.

Shane hits the ball but leaves a shot.

Now because of leaving a bigger space between the ten and the three Alex has a shot that he shouldn't.

Alex plays safe and leaves the CB behind the ten.

Shane masses rail first and MAKES the three but leaves a lot of green (blue) between the CB and the four. He cinches it and gets perfect shape on the five.

Shane is still playing at alex's speed. He needs to speed up and catch his rhythm.

Shane manages to run out still and take it back to a three game deficit.

44-47.

Shane breaks three balls

Doesn't have a shot on the two.

Shane plays safe and may have left an edge of the two visible.

Alex hits the two and leaves a long shot on the two for Shane.

He makes it and looks good to finish the run out.

Shane runs it to take it within two games.

45-47

Shane breaks two balls

Shane pushes out and Alex tries to play safe but screws it and gives Shane an easy shot.

Shane comes up short or rolled too far, difficult to tell, he has a tough shot on the four.

Shane over cuts it badly and leaves a long shot with natural shape from the four to the six.

Alex runs it out and instead of a one game lead it's back to three games in Alex's favor.

45-48
