have got to get over the Indian and Arrow thing. When players pick any ole cue, they make sure it has a good tip, and the shaft is tapered halfway decent. Yes, although they can perform good, they do not perform at their normal level they would with their own good equipment they possess.
The equipment has to be marginally good for them to perform,and high quality equipment usually yields better results for top players.
I have played 46 years, and have done both several several times.
My brother was a Champion Archer in his day, 7 state titles, mid-west nationals, 11th in the world, but I seriously doubt that he could have accomplished that with 'any ole bow and arrow', but he did with a high precision compound bow, the best arrows, and trigger release, and a top scope.
