Shannon Daulton wins Smokey Mountain Shootout

The finals were double elimination with Shannon winning the hot seat match. Larry won the first set of the finals 9-8 forcing a second set. Set #2 was a race to 7 with Shannon coming through to win the title in another hill-hill thriller, 7-6.

I think he thought this was just another regional event like the Viking Tour or Southern Billiard Tour.

This was a 100.00 entry fee tourney with a full field of 128 players on barboxes. There were others there that could have easily have been in the top 4.

sadly though, I did not play and therefore did not get in the top 4.

Ktown had several champions on the ropes. He could have been very close to the top..........

Myself on the other hand......Let's just say that it was fun chatting with all of my friends that I only get to see at the Smokey Mountain .

I wouldn't say several champions but I played 3 good matches and one very poor one. One of the good ones I still got beat 9-8.


Mike might not have played as well as he would like but he did pick up a nice Josey he will posting pics of soon.
