Hi,

Just ordered the 2 DVDs for CTE, but while i wait for them, i looking at CTE video i found on youtube. It does not seem easy to explain to say the least lol.

Playing with the idea for about 10-15 min and i must say i'm surprised, A LOT. Im pocketing shots without even looking at the pocket. Shots than i struggled with!

Anyways, i know i'm still missing a lot as i don't understand the 15/45/60 left/right stuff from Stan on youtube.

Stan, if you read this, could you organize your youtube videos in a playlist in the logical order we should watch them, that would be soooo great?

If you guys have other ressources (website, blog, anything), please share them here!

Thanks!

Trolls have chased Stan off of Az. Keep working on the simple shots to get the hang of CTE while awaiting the dvd. Immerse yourself and you will be very happy with the end result.

CTE is best learnt "hands on"!

Find an Instructor that teaches CTE and visit them.

Well, I tested what I understand last night and it is really surprising. I plan on waiting for the DVDs and practice a bit more and if I can't get it right, I'll pay Stan a visit!

Here are the Cliff Notes for CTE:

1. Find the fractional alignment closest to the cut angle you want, then adjust (thicker or thinner) to the actual cut angle.

2. Practice until you can make shots.

3. Post on AzB that it's magic.

Yes, we see. "CTE trolls" are players who don't believe in magic and think others might benefit from some reality. Not you, of course...

And, by the way, I provided more helpful instruction than you did.

No, you provided wrong CTE info, as usual.
You are a CTE Troll simply because you've never properly learned it but have spent countless years trying to ridicule it. Get a life and let people learn what they want.

...let people learn what they want.
Oh, save the drama. My critiques of CTE's fantastic claims doesn't prevent anybody from trying it. I'm sure people can figure out who's smokin' dope here once they've heard all sides, especially with your loyal assistance.

Would you mind telling me what inspired you to look into CTE?

Your critiques, My goodness you are one funny guy.
Can you please do a diagram, which you are pretty good at by the way, of the humor as it relates to your posting.

Well,

I dont know. Found/read some material about it. Could not really believe it at first. Tried it without having seen Stan video and made many shot consistenly after 20-30 min. Shots i had problem with. I then watched most of Stan's video on youtube, it was hard to get my head around it, but kept watching and it started to make sense.

While i wait for the dvds to arrive, i've played some more tonight and i can already say it works great. I mean im pocketing balls with half of my table hidden by a bed sheet (without seeing the target pocket)...

I practiced 60 min total ober 2 days...

So i guess it is worth tryin'

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply. Good Luck with it.

Do you use it?

No I don't. I looked into it but decided against it.

I use equal & opposite overlap & have been shooting with english for nearly 50 years & with TOI for I guess about 3 maybe more.

If it's working for you that's all that matters

Good Luck with it.

90/90 can be used with cte pro one? I kinda thought it was one or the other!

I practiced 2h cte pro one tonight and it's definately not magic, you still have to practice to develop a feel for the perception angle, but geez it helps !!!

It is one or the other. I much prefer pro one but 90/90 would have its uses on certain shots for some people.
You are right it's not magic but it is very very helpful.

Edge to target visuals aren't fractional alignments. Aligning edge to center and striking through center ball doesn't equal a half-ball hit. Vanishing point perspective illusions prevent that from being true. The farther the cb/ob distance, the more the divergence.

Your level of understanding on how vision and perspective works is amazingly wrong. With a fixed eye position used to get an edge to target alignment, that same eye position can often equate to a center to WAY off the ball vector.

Any person can setup balls on their table and see this for themselves. Don't listen to this guy, he's lost and has been for years.
