My last couple of cue deals, including trades and sending out to get fixed, the arrival has been delayed or on one occasion Im starting to think they took it out of the box to check the materials inside. Is this due to the ivory laws that have come into effect?? billiards has long been known to be one of the first industries to use ivory, which is why pool has gone into history as the reason why plastic was basically invented. So is the government actually doing its job and getting the materials checked?? Im starting to think that Ivory will never leave its state through mail again. anyone else have this issue??
 
New ivory regulations have not gone into effect. Thise are still being planned, there has been no implementation yet.

I think ivory has zero to do with it.

If you do a search, I started a thread on the terrible job USPS is doing for me.

I think society has changed, and people are lazy, and really don't care, and have no pride in their work. I see it everywhere.

Why are the packages open? IMO, people are shopping to see if they want to steal it or not.

I talked to the local postmaster here about my problems, and she wanted to talk about her problems. She said that new employees start out at $50K, and they work a week or so and then quit. She said she has plenty of jobs, but cant keep them filled.

People cant pass a drug test, so they cant get a job.

Just sit at home and the goberment will take care of ya!

No one ever opens my boxes and checks them.

Now in the last 3 months, USPS has been screwing up, but no one opens the boxes unless it is an accident. When boxes are first dropped off they can ask about the content, but this is just normal. Right now I do have a claim for a pool cue and USPS is taking a long time to get my insurance money. Had to submit proof of how much the item was worth and a receipt of what I paid. Not funny, but my package was insured for $100 and that's what I should get....:D


I thought it was kind of strange though around Christmas time when you saw on the news that UPS and Fed-Ex had delays with delivery. USPS was just as bad but not mentioned on the news.

No one should be opening up the packages.

Ken4 fun said it all these kids just don't what to work, an the ones that do are always taking short cuts. No pride in their. That's what I see and hear on local news.
 
Maybe I've been the lucky one. I've been using USPS almost exclusively for a long time. No issues, not inexplicable delays, no lost or opened packages, etc. May just be where I live, though ????

The only guys that have ever f'ed me are big brown (UPS).
 
I ship exclusively via USPS as well domestically and internationally and have not had any problems. I do declare full value of the cue with the insurance. I'm not going to save a few bucks to have the risk associated or headaches later with possible damage or missing packages. I've shipped over 100+ cues this way over the past couple years
