So you go to a pool hall or bar and shoot while wearing shoes or sandals, but what about when you're at your buddies house or your basement if you have one. Are you a nice guy/girl and remove your shoes? Personally I can't stand shooting pool bare foot. How about you guys?

It's one of the friendliest sharks I've seen. Friend invites me over to his new apartment with white carpet and says no shoes.. My feet were aching after the first 2 hours.
I don't take my boots off for nobody. So what if there is a little manure on them. That's what nature smells like. I suppose you don't want me smoking there either? Why didn't you tell me your wife wears the pants in your family and I would have stayed home? I'm surprised she lets you have a pool table.
I play barefoot occasionally in my basement with no discernible ill effects on my game. I've been sharked before to the point of nausea by people playing barefoot on the black (once red) grimy carpet of the bar I used to play league in. Pretty sure shoes weren't involved in trips to the bathroom (commonly backed up and flooded) either.
Shoes for me, my feet stink to high heaven, LOL.
I always wear shoes when I play... even at home.
I play barefoot all the time in my basement. I don't require others to go shoeless, but I am very comfortable that way. I used to train for other endeavors 6+ hours a day without shoes so it became pretty normal for me.
That's pretty stupid, unless the enviornment they are in had NEVER had a glass obj. fall/break on the floor.
Normal at home or normal at a bar? That's why I don't play barefoot...because I don't want that to be my normal.
I play with shoes when at home so I am practiced up (normal) for the bars and pool hall where I most certainly wear shoes to protect my feet from injury and disease.
I do a lot without shoes (exercise, e.g.), but not pool.
