Shoot straight?

Commentators have mentioned that Shaw says Filler "shoots straighter" and frankly, WTF is that supposed to mean?
Basically he is saying Filler misses less than anyone else. The dynamic duo of Johnson and Jewett said much the same thing.
 
These meanings are different. Not trying to upset the apple-cart, JUST thoughts.
Straight Shooter', nothing fancy.
'Shoots Straight', no pocket cheating or cue-ball English.

Without opening a can-of-worms...
Can we compare, 'Shoots Straight' to 'Shoots Crooked' and 'Straight Shooter' to a 'Crooked Shooter'.
