I see that most of pro players are pointing to the bottom of the cue ball before they shot, even if they are breaking.
Why?

I agree, but they are so freakin' talented that it works for them. Most people would say that Buddy Hall has perfect fundamentals, but he rearely makes it to the finish position before lifting his bridge hand. Seems to have been working pretty well for him.DrCue'sProtege said:sounds like very, very poor mechanics/fundamentals to me............![]()

Have you ever heard of back hand english? A lot of players use it, whether they know it or not.DrCue'sProtege said:sounds like very, very poor mechanics/fundamentals to me............![]()

If I'm not wrong, they align the cuetip and the center ball.kaznj said:Everyone's vision is a little different. When some people think they are looking at the exact center of the cue ball they are actually off center. This would cause a person to put unintentional english on the ball. By pointing the cue stick at the exact location where the cue ball is resting on the table you would be pointing at the exact vertical center of the cue ball. If you move you stick perfectly straight up to the horizontal center then you would be hitting in the exact center of the cue ball. I hope this helps. If not post again and I will try to explain some more. This method is what I have heard the Phillapino's use to find center ball. They move the stick up on the last stroke.
