short-spliced forearm question

Spain's journal ( I had one bookbound ) is a fun read but
time and technology might have dated some of his premise.

Spain's book is awesome. He was the man who took the full splice technique to the nines for custom cues. I am sure that Joel Hercek has tweaked the process to 21 century standards with his awesome jigs and machines. :bow-down:

I'm sure Mr. Hercek has.
Full-splice and 3/4 splice have lost some of their aura IMO.
Few makers make them now but the prestige and aura in them
have dwindled quite a bit IMO. People are not jumping on
every full splice out there.
Meanwhile sectional cues like SW, Szamboti and Tad are still
very hot.
