Shorten a g10 3/8×10 pin

Drill the shaft deeper and run a tap. 5 minute fix.

I do not have the proper set up to do that. I am not interested in always having to do more shafts.
So is the G10 pin installed wrong? It should be about 1.27" long.
If you insist in cutting it, a jeweler's saw arbored on a router in the tool post would cut it straight.
Then a sharp tool bit to create the rounded pilot head.

If you plan on cutting it without using a lathe and proper tooling...you might as well take it outside and go pin down on the concrete to grind it down to what you need.
Your best best is to do as suggested to drill it deeper and tap will be the simplest fix with minimal costs.

Your right. It's a simple question but for a proper answer. What kind of tools are you working with? That may complicate the situation.
I understand your frustration. Instead of trying to find someone with the tools and pay them 10 bucks to make a benign modification to your shaft, I thinks you should just go ahead and use that hacksaw that you own and then go out to the driveway and use the concrete to round off the corners.
If you don't want to do it correctly, you may as well have a funny story to tell.
