Shotty tip work (rant and questions)

have you checked for anyone in Bullhead?

Yes but I wasnt able to find anyone down there that knows anyone for tip work...No biggy though I found someone to do my work. I have to ship the shafts but I have no doubt that the work will come back perfect...

terrible work and i would never let him touch anything again. but what does two moori tips costs from someone that pays retail like about 20 each with shipping. then he only makes 10 bucks for his time . then you get to see what he really made off this deal. probably not much and thats the kind of work back door people may do.
i would send my shafts to a real pro and pay the freight. your tip is the most important part why skimp.

I'm not sure if they are real moori's or not but the ones he got were 2 for 20 on ebay....it took him about 10 min per tip...that boils down to about a $1.50 per minute that he's making...you get 6 of those stacked up waiting for tips and he's making roughly $90 an hour...(not including the 6 dabs of glue and the wear and tear on his blades)...Thats pretty damn good money if you ask me...

Now I'm not against someone making a buck for providing a service as long as the service provided is good...If these tips would of come out the way you'd expect a professional tip install to come out I would of been a happy camper and probably would of even left him a tip for doing a good job...But the fact of the matter is his work wasn't worth it all...I dont feel that I was skimping by any means. I took my cues to the only guy in my area that does "professional" cue work, payed his asking price and learned a lesson the hard way.
