Should professional pool become unisex?

I don't think anyone could question their class. I just do not think it would be fair if the ladies competed againt the men.

Sarah Ellerby is a darn fine player.
But, I don't think Efren Reyes or Johnny Archer would shy away from a challenge to English 8 ball.

Speaking as a woman, I believe that pool should be as it is ... with a pro women's tour, a pro men's tour and some open events for both - like the Reno tournament. This way, people can choose which tournaments to play in and not complain about it.

I know that it sucks for a man to play a woman in a tournament because if you win - well you were supposed to, but God forbid if you lose - boy, you are a sucker. But hey, from a woman's perspective, it really angers us when we have to hear all that crap too because if we win, we don't get any credit. And God knows how many times I have to hear some jerk after watching a hack say "He plays like a girl" or after watching a woman play well and say "Wow, she plays like a man" ... no offense guys but that's really an insult, not a compliment. ;)

Also I don't think people should be comparing Efren with Allison because sure, Efren can give Allison a lot of weight easily HOWEVER, I believe Efren can give MOST people the same weight so its no contest ... thus a moot point. Personally, I agree there aren't many women who are playing a very high caliber game (in comparison to the men pros) other than Karen or Allison AT THIS TIME but let's not focus on whether or not the person playing has a penis or a vagina and just focus on the game. (Sorry to be crude)

But really, let's leave all the politics behind and just PLAY SOME POOL! :)

Talking about men & nerves: I saw Mizerak
miss an easy straight in , in his prime, on
the 9, final game , for $25000.
When they asked him what happened,
he said," It's called getting a tight-- wait,
this is television. It's called choking up."

Male players seem to be alot better at kicking balls and playing safe, I think that might be the major difference.
