I know Tom, and being the man, and player that he is, he probably wasn't completely satisfied with his 13th - 16th place finish this past weekend at Snookers (RI) Seminole Tour stop.

But just take a look (below) at some of the names who finished below him in this event.

Tom, you are still giving us old fellows hope with how you keep playing the game.

Keep eating those carrots, buddy. ;)

And congrats to SVB on another great win.

Congrats to Tom for sure. That was one tough field.

I see quite a few familiar names at that tournament, but I used to travel up that way, so I know some of the players.

Frankie Hernandez is a regular in New England for sure.

Dennis Hatch must have had trouble catching a gear, as I would have expected to see his name higher in the payouts, but you can't win them all, that's for sure.

Ray McNamara won a Joss Tour Season Finals, I think, subject to check.

Steve Goulding, the owner of Snookers, shows he's got game.

And Bucky Souvathong (17 - 24) won the SBE Amateur Open, 2010.

Yes, a s-t-r-o-n-g field it was.

Best,

Brian,

Thanks for the recognition. I've always told people, "You never know what can happen if you enter a tournament. I know what won't happen if you don't."

The field was a very strong one. No dough about that. I was fortunate enough to have a decent draw and I knew if I played well, I had a good chance to win.

I also prepared for this event. I lost twenty-five pounds and got into decent shape by doing a lot of walking. I was also sparring with fellow competitor, Randy La Bonte.

I made a commitment, to myself, to give myself the best chance I could, to do well and it worked.

I might have played my best match against Mike Dechaine. I happened to lose 9-7. Strange how those things happen.

Thanks for throwing my name out there Brian.

"I also know, on any given day, I might have gone out 1-2. Everyone that enters a tournament of this magnitude is a winner in my book."

I was also given an opportunity to do commentary by J. R. of Inside Pool. I can't thank them enough for the opportunity.

Steve and Regina Goulding also deserve all the credit in the world. They pulled off the greatest show in New England for the past twenty-five years. It's exciting to be part of the pool scene in New England, AGAIN.
