Show me your Tad Kohara cues...please.

Absolutely stunning! One of the very few TAD Titlists that I have seen, definitely very nice indeed! :)

Ladies and Gents,

Here is the last Tad cue that I may share you here - just like the previous ones, this one belongs to Fatboy as well. I believe this to be a Tadpole cue but I am sure Eric will tell more details.

Here are the pictures for your viewing pleasure:

Enjoy! :)

I've never seen a TAD like that ever, what a great cue! :) Thank you so much for sharing! I bet, this cue must sure look amazing in person! :D

i believe it is among the first "Tad Poles", they have built them on ocassion for years, but this one with the delron ring above the bottom of the wrap is proof its a real old cue, hell it might be the first Tad Pole, who know's. if someone know please let me know, i like the diamonds stacked on top of each other-my fav part of the cue. Shaft wood is amazing,

so those are my 3 old tads, the Hopie one plays he best, i might have not hit balls with the tad pole, i cant remember.

i played 2 hours with my plane jane Tad-wow what a cue.

Hey Guys,
Here are some pictures of my floating point TADs.. They are rare since Tad stopped making these models.. Also, The ebony forearm is even a rarer quality..
Also, A custom case made from TAD..
Best,
Ken Kerner

A Few Tads I've Owned

Here are a few Tads that I have had the pleasure of owning over the past 12 years.

Much to my regret, I'm sorry to say that I've traded or sold these cues. I just recently acquired the tigerwood tad from a close friend. After coming back to the game after a 5 year sabbatical, I've found playing with the tigerwood Tad to be a nice way to return to the game. I've always been partial to the steel to steel 5/16 joints over the steel to wood larger pin joints.

Growing up in the Monterey Park area of Los Angeles, I had plenty of opportunity to visit Tad's shop but never did do so due to not wanting to spend the wherewithal on high end cues and lacking the knowlege about quality cues a well. No joke, this was the late 80s very early 90s, when you could probably purchase a plain jane cue for around 500 or so by walking in to his shop and asking what he had to offer. One older asian gentleman that played at Andys billiarnds in Montery Park, seemed to have a differant Tad every few months. If I had the knowlege of how his cues would appreciate, I would have purchased them on a regular basis finances permitting.

When I was 18, I had a friend that introduced me to pool and gambling on it. Eric once came into the place we played pool at with a plain jane birdseye tad. Neither of us knew what the cue was other than a plain looking cue. He had traded it with a friend of his for a few baseball cards and to boot got a few along with the cue. If memory serves me correctly, it had one shaft and a beat up vinyl case. When we went to Andys to play with it, the older asian guy Fred I think his name was offered him 100.00 for the cue. Of course he jumped on the offer. I think back and say to myself hindsight is 20/20.

A Few Tads I've Owned - 2

This cue was an older Tad that seemed pretty unique. It was as heavy as a louisville slugger however.

Interesting Hoppe style Tad that I was sniped off of Ebay.

A Few Tads I've Owned - 3

This is one of my favorite Tads I've owned. I really like the look of a plain forearm with a fancy butt. I think if when I order another Tad, I'm going to go for this type of design but with a 5/16 pin instead of the larger one.

A Few Tads I've Owned - 4 Last

Here is the fanciest Tad I've ever owned. I recall only shooting with this just a few times. I was paranoid that it would be damaged somehow by either myself or someone else in the pool hall.

Here is another Tad of Eric, I think that it is pretty unique, looks like a Titlist forearm to me with straight grain maple and this is what Eric said as well. I am sure he will tell us more when he has time to.

I'll put up one more within a few days! Enjoy :)

How much would a TAD like this be worth today?

Simply great cue!

That cue is made from a Brunswick Titlist, TAD's early pointed cues were made from titlists. Quite rare to find one of his titlist cues nowadays.
