I'm sayin' it now...if you haven't got one to show...don't post. Smart ass remarks need not apply. I just want to see some of his work. I've only seen one cue and wanted to get a feel for what his body of work beyond that cue, looks like. Everyone's real greedy with their E.W. cue pics. You people need to share!

Curious. Just wondering who died and left you forum moderator so that you can stipulate who can and who can't reply to a thread on a forum?

Hey Dick...no one died that I'm aware of. I simply made the request so I could at least ATTEMPT to keep the thread on track instead of it turning into the typical mud slinging event that Ed Wheat threads turn into. Maybe I could have worded that a bit differently, but still. At least this way if that occurs...its known that it wasn't MY intent. God damn Dick...I really REALLY did not expect a response like that from you. You know what? Knock yourself out. I don't even give a flying f*ck. This thread hasn't even started...and I'm already sick of it. Anyone wants to respond...go ahead...I won't be reading.

Sorry I failed to respond to your post prior to my response to Mr. Neighbors. He just caught me off guard...and got me completely bent outta shape. At any rate...I believe it was the six pointer. The one with the junior/baby/really short points.

They don't exist, he has had all his cues to date made in China by Ko Ko. That's why they take so long to be built and delivered!!!!! If you don't beleive me look at the weight bolt, bumper and the cues pin. Is it real or memorex, you may be surprised!!!! but everybodies doing it!!!!!

Oh and by the way, hope this helps, and I am truly sorry if you also got screwed!!!

take Care

( I simply made the request )

I don't see any request in that post. What I see is some one making demands that people had to follow their rules. That's what moderators are for, to make rules. When you have your own forum then you can make any rules you desire.

If I Think Of Anything Else That I Haven't Said In 40 Years, I'll Post It. OK?

As we used to say in the service,
"If you have one, get another.
If you have two, turn one in."

Doug
(I don't know what that has to do with anything, but I haven't had an opportunity to say it in the last 40 years)

*We used to say "draw one" instead of 'get another', but I didn't want to confuse young minds. :)

they also said, "Smoke 'em if you got 'em."

'mabey' they were talking about smoking wheat ?

No problem..........You mentioned no smart asses need apply so I figured I was safe!

I thought maybe that might be the one you was referring too.
Myself....I've only seen one other that I can remember here on the forum.
It was made from a piece of quilted maple. Lots of bling...but not a good cue wood IMO. I believe Acer Saccharum is the only maple that should be used in cues. But then I believe even burls and such should only be used as embellishment woods instead of structural, even if cored.
That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

Peace, Purdman

Thank you gentlemen for the civil responses.

Dave, I don't think we can be friends! I love burl! LOL
I understand what you're saying though, I've certainly heard more than a few opinions that have mirrored your own. I just can't help it though...I love the stuff. I'd have one-piece merry widow style cues made from amboyna, buckeye, etc., if it were feasible.

You mean to tell me that his phone is ringing off the hook with orders and no one on AZB is willing to share a photo?
18 years as a cuemaker and no one has seen any of his cues?
Wheat cues are about as scarce and rare as a Joe Barringer cues.

I truly feel sorry for the people that have invested money and are waiting for their Wheat cue.
I see he is asking for even more orders in another thread.
I guess is so busy taking custom cue orders and cashing the money orders he just dont have the time to make any cues.

It was the 6 point 8 pointer with extra long shafts that weren't supposed to be extra long;)

I would say something like this is just another cheap shot at "insert name here" but I can't see 8 points being on the final cue listed in Purds link.

Am I missing something? If there is 8 points, they certainly aren't spaced well according to pic...
