Paul Allers -- Cocobola & Maple

I just had the pleasure of meeting Paul for the first time last week :)

He is a master at making EXTREMELY nice 60" playing cues here in the NW ;)

Paul loves to work with using different wood combinations and his cues are getting more GOREGOUS all the time.

Here is an example of a simple wrapless cue I picked up today :D

Thanks Paul!

I have some coming... The're not really facy though... will just being wrapless qualify?

Paul Allers cues

Here's my first personal showing.
Just finished the bocote 6 point and the banksia was a curiosity that I just had to do. I like wrapless too.
All of my sticks are 60" long and 1.20" butt, 3/8-10 pin, and I prefer regular maple or the flat laminate shaft on higher end cues
as it lets you feel the hit/response.
Just my opinion

I was able to see both of these cues on Saturday down at Cues & Brews in Sedro Woolley......the Bacote ?segmented? handle was really cool and the Bloodwood inlays in the butt were very nice as well.

The Banksia is awesome.....looks like some type of reptile skin happening thing very unusual for sure.

Both of these are very nice cues Paul -- thanks for sharing! :)

Hey Paul! :) Nice to see you finally posting, instead of lurking...LoL. ;) :D

As is so often the case, pics really do not do Paul's cues justice...the woods he is using are always visually exciting. Do not know how he does it, but he surely has an 'eye' for wood, and wood combos.

Beyond that, having owned one, they play pretty sporty too!...for a 60" cue, anyways. ;) Actually, a bit of an inside joke w/Paul. :D

What I can tell you all is that...and I have said this all before...Paul is extremely passionate about what he does, and is always looking to 'push the envelope' with different designs and combinations. I have to admit, that I am a bit spoiled, getting to see Paul and his creations fairly often...not to mention the pleasure I have to talk to someone who actually understands what I am talking about concerning cues and woods and tips, and well....you get the idea... in down-time between sets. :D

For those of you who are looking for an extremely well-crafted, well-balanced, beautiful, well playing 60" cue...especially wrapless...at a VERY reasonable price-point...it's tough to do better than one of Paul's cues. If you do not believe me, just call him! :D

Lisa <======= who thinks Paul is deserving of more than just 'local hero' status. :)

Purple Heart Wonder

Here is a Purple Heart (PH) with "Saturn Ring" handle that I recently completed.
The PH runs the entire length of the cue. The pin is G-10 and the shaft PH
with a White Diamond tip.

Here is mine that I should be getting sometime next week. The picture only has the first layer of coat on it. It is a Carolina Custom.

That is a beautiful cue....A striking original design and wood combination, without being overly fancy.
