James White flame cue

This is not my cue, but I sure wish I had bought it when I had the chance. It is by far my favorite flame cue to date.

It is the James White cue (middle cue)

The Scruggs cue and Mottey are "pretty" nice also.

Here is an older Black plus and a couple of fancier Gilberts with the popular "flame veneer" combo. Also, another unusual Gilbert with CA buckeye burl points that just look like they are altogether on fire....

excuse my ignorance but what is a "flame cue"?
What makes those beautiful cues posted here a "flame" cue?

I REMEMBER THAT BLACK, SOME IDIOT ORDERED IT TO BE HIS PLAYING CUE.
 
Beautiful Blackcreek Cue by Travis Nicklish

I'm sitting here looking at this cue thinking, "Man, that's a good looking Haley..." only to get to the signature and see it's a blackcreek....

I think that is some serious unoriginality and blatant design theft...

I looked at that cue at first and thought to myself, 'I wonder who made that! Its pretty! I looked at the rings, the joint, and a few other elements and thought: 'Wow!!! That's a Haley!!!'

Turns out, it isn't. Its just a knock-off of sorts. Not trying to knock Travis but there is a LOT of that cue that has Ron Haley written all over it!!!

The rings are pure Haley. I admire the execution but me thinks Travis may catch some heat for this one.
