Does anyone have a go to shaft?
Of about 10 Barnhart shafts, I have one that I like to use. All are good shafts, but one has magic in it. I own five Barnhart butts, and I can shoot with any of those butts. Most nights it's a sneaky and the magic shaft that I play with.
I have several McDaniel cues and love his taper. But I stumbled on an Espiritu shaft in a trade deal that fits several cues and just has a touch of magic in it too.
Lastly, I'll play with my Libra cue and its shaft in addition to the two I mentioned.
All told, I have quite a few cues, but I'm happiest when I have a little magic in my hands.

i have total 4 shafts for my McDaniel i have pictured in this thread..but it only shows 3 shafts in the pic...i use the shaft thats pictured closest to the butt the most...it was actually from another mcdaniel cue i owned and it was its only shaft..so when i sold it..i sold just the butt only and kept that shaft..its 12.73mm non ivory ferrule...the other shafts are ivory 12.9+mm & 1 other being 12.6mm...the one i use just seems to.have a nice firm hit to it and taper

Nice cue. Interesting veneer selection. I would have never done that because I would have never thought to do it, but it looks great.

Here are mine, I play with the Skull Dufferin and the Leon Sly(love this cues hit), breaker is the Ebony John Auerbach. the last one is a sneaky I did in phenolic, use it sometimes.
