I have Slate Gray 860. 4 months old. I personally love the color.

I have used both Master gray and black chalk.

I had the Slate colored Simonis on my last table. I too started with black chalk, then went to gray trying to get a better match. They both sucked and I ended up using blue chalk without any issues. Mostly Blue Diamond and Magic, but some Masters too.

lol, its all good. They're just convincing me to stay with tournament blue... and its working :-/. I was really interested in Slate Grey but not sure now.
