Showman "Sparkling Lights"

Si......

Clearly you don't know what you are talking about. There is no scrim work on this cue. Stick to buying production cues, newbie. You will have a very short life on AZ if you keep up to this level of posting. Jackass.

I am not looking to start a fight. What i meant was: He took closeup pictures and you can clearly see that the diamonds were not notched into the wood:eek:. Take a close look Si. Now maybe it would be tough to get that small with a panograph but that is a different question. What i meant by Scrimm was either these notches were cut and filled with epoxy, ink or whatever or scrimmed and filled. Dont't call me a jackass when you have no idea how much knowledge I have about high end cues. So don't just automatically start throwing out names as I know exactly what Scrimm work is.

Thanks

No offence SIR ........ but how many HighEndcues have you see close enough ( and i mean close with a magnifying glass or even zoomed by a digital Picture ) ... and in fact we are talking of Inlaywork done with a panograph and may handcut at the corners after that.
The inlays in this case are also in Abalone which is translucent ... also by useing strong daylight ( Sunlight in this case ) at taking the pics, which brings a light refraction at the edges of the Inlays to show .. this is the reason for the borders around these inlays and depends on the angle of the light.
You can clearly see that happen at the round Inlays.

Also there are no crannies inside the Abalone .. these are structures inside the Material.

So again no offence Sir but you may should stop badmouth a cuemaker which is one of the best out there with an high international reputation.

If i hurt your EGO please do appologize but don't come here and use my pics to hurt the Rep of Johns Work, if you never have seen this cue in person to made up your mind.

Kind Regards
Berny

PS: Sorry to anybody for my bad english ... may its not good enough to point out clearly what i wana say. :sorry:

PPS: It is people like you, that start collectors to rethink about sharing here Pictures to dear Fellows .....:slap:

Why your opinion would matter is a mystery to me. The only thing that fecks me off is your opinion is there for all to see. Don't hide under an assumed moniker on AZ, tell us who you are and what your credentials are. Everyone knows me and I certainly don't hide behind an assumed name. Maybe then your comments could then be taken into account. If you knew the first thing about cues (which you quite clearly don't), you would realise this technique for notched diamonds has been employed FOR YEARS.

....and let me make this perfectly clear to you.......a big budget for cue buying does not qualify you to make comments on cue construction. Only years of handling cues by many, many makers gives you that knowledge. Sure, we can all comment but it don't mean SH!T unless you have paid your dues. So until you come back with something meaningful (and I have yet to read all NINE of your other posts) and give us your name (oh great master cue collector), stick your opinion up your ass.

So, before I draw any conclusions.....mind explaining why there is more than one IP registered to you?

This is serious, because if I'm not convinced that the association is genuine all the IP's will be banned and the names made public.

I come to the thread to check out pics of my new cue, and I find this?

For now, I will accept the given explanations.

just enough of the nonsense with knocking cues and name calling.

Ahhh well frick! What am I supposed to do with all this leftover popcorn? I thought this was shaping up to be a double killer thriller.

Anyway, beautiful cue. As a novice, the more I learn, the more I appreciate the input/posts/pic's provided by some of the most knowledgable enthusiasts in the world. Ex. In this thread I learned a bit about passion and pride (and a couple new words for my vocabulary ;) )

Press on gents.

lol. Sooner this dies the better. Knowledge is a useful tool.....lack of knowledge leads to wrong interpretations and can give others the wrong idea. This chap clearly was out for trouble and this can be seen from his previous posts also. Misinformed and misguided.

Marcus....be happy you have purchased one of the finest cues in existence from one of the finest cue makers on the planet. I would take this cue back all day long and twice on Sundays.
