Can someone give me a quick rundown/description of the poolhalls in shreveport, la? thanks. I will be there tonight and tomorrow night

Someone who's a local to the area could probably be more insightful on the subject. If you're coming from east of there you may want to stop in West Monroe and play at "The Arena" on your way in.

They are all Diamond tables even though they're 7 foot diamonds and I picked up some gas money last time there.

Bill Schick has a superl nice place, maybe the best in town right now. I think its simply called Schick's Place. His website is suspended for some reason, but I'm sure someone can direct you.

Pockets closed down several years back...

Bill Shick's pool hall is a must stop for anyone interested in seeing a really nice pool hall with one of the best and biggest wooden bar (old) and largest mirror set up you have ver seen. Basically I like it. :-)

Make sure you stop at Bill Schick's place and ask for Bill or Mike Wheeler. In addition to having the best pool hall in Shreveport by far (in my opinion), they will probably be more than happy to show you around their cuemaking shop, which is a treat in itself. They make some of the nicest cues in the world, and will probably have about 50 cues lined up to be refinished. Great guys, a great pool hall, and great cues. There are a few pretty decent players there as well.

The time I was at "The Arena" in West Monroe, I was delivering and setting up the 14 Diamond 7ft coin-op pool tables. They were not open at that time, but I could tell it was going to be one hell of a nice place when they were done building it. And Billy is one hell of a nice owner to boot.

places in shreve

It really depends on what your looking for. In my opinion the two best pool halls are Side Pocket billiards, and Schicks. You can't really go wrong with either one. If you are looking for action then your best bet would be heading over to sidepockets. They have 4-9ft tables in pretty good condition and a bunch of bar boxes. Schicks has a bunch of 9-fts that have recently been recovered and a bunch of bar boxes also. There is a fast eddies over there too but the tables are crap, but its a nice place if you are just looking for somewhere to hang out, its more of a bar atmosphere than pool hall. There are also a few other places but i'm not as frequent with them but they may be worth looking at, Secrets, Rack'em. Hope it helps.
