This cue was made by Eric Niemira of Sierra Cues out of Phoenix Az. it is marked Sierra 97 1 of 1 it has 6 floating points with hash marks in the forearm and 12 points in the butt. It is an 8 out of 10 for cosmetics (the wrap is a little dirty and the cue has a few dings here and there nothing major. It has 2 shafts, 13MM, weighs 18.5 Oz (estimated), 3/8"-10 pin and wood to wood joint it is straight with either shaft. I worked at Sierra cues some years ago and this is a cue left over from that time. Eric's cues are known for their playability and this cue plays very solid. It is not in new condition but you will not be disappointed in it's condition it is a beautiful cue. This is a copy of an ad I have on Ebay, I recently put money down towards a cue on this sight therefore I am selling this cue and/or another Sierra that I have. Contact me if you wish to know about the other cue. 310-689-4127 http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o61/2rgrbn/poolcue007.jpg, http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o61/2rgrbn/poolcue006.jpg, http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o61/2rgrbn/poolcue005.jpg Offers for trades are welcome

That's actually a pretty nice-looking cue. Are the inlays real/what are they made of? What wood is that?

The inlays are real they are ebony and most likely Ivorine, they may be Ivory but my guess is Ivorine. I worked with Sierra cues for a short time and this cue was made before I was there, during the time I was there Ivory was not very available so my guess is Ivorine. I don't know what the forearm wood is. Also I have not seen under the wrap on this cue but Sierra seldom used maple handles it is probably a Purpleheart handle. I apologize for my lack of knowledge about it. The forearm is a fairly common wood used in cues I just can't tell you definitely what it is. If someone is interested this might be a good cue for the escrow account that is set up on this sight.

Unique looking cue. The wood in the forearm and butt appears to be tulipwood, to me.

Is the cue signed or ID'd in any manner (logo, etc)?

Joe

It is hand written on the forearm "Sierra 97" Which is typical this one also has 1 of 1 written in the same area, The bumper is typical of a Sierra by Eric Niemira also he molded his own. He also made his own pins with a flat sided portion above the thread which is typical of his cues. There are no logo's.

I used to spend some time around eric's shop in the late 90's and have seen this cue in person. The buyer will not be disappointed. I'm curious who this is?? PM if that's better for you.

Colby Brewer, I was there around the same time, Thanks for the comments, it really is a nice cue, I added another in a later post in this thread it has the SI 3 points
