Legalities..pretty much sums it up.

I think they are awesome still. Do you have a collection online somewhere? Diana Hoppe sells her photos of the players and action so I don't see why you couldn't do the same. I don't know what the legalities are. I for one would be interested in buying some for a reasonable price.

"You don't need a release to sell photographs of private parties to the
general public. Legally, this is no different from selling newspapers that
contain those images or selling images to a newspaper, magazine, or book
publisher for subsequent publication.
There are moral concerns with displaying images. However, from a legal
perspective, society has chosen to give citizens the right to display
almost all kinds of images with a few exceptions such as those that violate
a person's reasonable expectation of privacy, imply some sort of
endorsement (e.g., advertising), or are obscene as defined in the legal
sense. A person who is visible in a public place or at a public event is
generally not considered to have a reasonable expectation of privacy and it
does not violate their legally-protected right to privacy to have images
sold or otherwise published."

Morals....is the key word! If someone asks me not to publish or sell their photos, I'll honor their request. I have only had one person ask me not to sell their photo, so far.
I'd never sell an image to be used commercially. (advertisements, for example) Or, if it would put them in a bad 'light'.
Most players are happy to get the P.R. from public postings of their images. Wouldn't you like to walk into a poolroom and see your poster up on the wall?? Sure you would, as long as it's done in a tasteful manner.
I sure don't want to upset any of the players, and jepordize my relations with any of them. I'll always offer copies, or posters to them if they like them. No charge.
If they are happy, I'm happy.
