Can a shaft be too slick?

First of all I use a glove.
Tried a new cue shaft wax.
It actually worked so well that the shaft feels too slick.

I decided to take if off because I lost all feel.

Yes, believe it or not I still have feel with a glove :D

I never had this issue before and was wondering if anyone else has,
Just kind of odd.

You've just answered your own thread

In my opinion, the shaft on my cue can NEVER be TOO slick. I keep my shafts as slick as I can make them and will try anything to make them even SLICKER.

If you have sweaty hands ; glove up..I guess..

I wipe my cue between turns if the room is humid.

never heard of to slick...bowling lane maybe..lol.

The wax I has used was this:
Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax

Like I said, I had always felt that a shaft could not be too slick... until I used this.

I am not saying this is a great product but it made the shaft very slick or so smooth there was very, very little resistance for me with my glove.

Feel free to assume what you want but I was a little confused as I had never experienced this before.

I might throw it on my break cue, but it won't be going back on my shooting shaft.

Little did I know how important it is to feel the speed in both hands :embarrassed2:
