Silliest thing you spent money on that is pool related?

When I first started out, I got myself one of those cool all-graphite cues from Walmart. It made a really high pitched sound on every shot and played like crap, but I thought it was the greatest thing ever at the time.

Limb saver

When I saw that, I was thinking you gotta be kidding me.
So, I make this cue so you can feel the hit and you're not gonna place a dildo at the bottom so you can kill the hit ?

I had it on a meucci . This is my own opinion on the limb saver and cues that vibrate ....

I bought a cue that didn't vibrate End of problem....
Personally I don't think they do anything ................
I needed a rubber bumper and a friend gave me the thing because he didn't like it either.

LImb saver

Yep, saw Gradie Mathews hawking them at a tourney, I think it was DCC a few years back. I asked did I have to buy one to get his autograph, and he said no. Got the autograph and walked away quickly. I think they were like $15 ??

I was desperate for a rubber ........................................................................bumper

It was closing time, I ran out of gas, locus. my truck broke down in front of the whore house Twice

Another thing was the cue I bought for my wife's Christmas present. I could tell she wasn't very happy about it. It was a nice cue too, and I think she used it only once.
I tried to find it, but I have no idea where it went... (trash or pawn shop maybe?)

Playing Andam even when he first hit the states & no one knew who he was. 7 dimes later I realized this was beyond silly.

Probably the time I dropped $425 on a Samsara Bar Cue at a time in my life when I really didn't have the time or money to invest in playing regularly again. Thing sat in a case for four years until it was eBay'd.

Looking back, for me it would have to be the sheer amount of cues I've bought and sold. Over 40 or 50 cues probably (which is light weight for some of you guys). It was a bit of a silly hobby, and it was a waste of time that I could have spent on the table, but I did enjoy it. At least I've learned a lot about cues and what makes them good or bad, and I've paired everything down to three cues and two cases.

Stoopid

Jump cue. What a worthless piece of sh*t. Sure, you can get over a ball, maybe hit a combo to get out... no art to it at all. Now kicking.. that's an art form in pool.

Jumping should be banned from pool, with jump sticks anyway. Takes the art of the safety and the art of kicking out of the game.

For me it was these damn shoes. The guy at the store said they were the most comfortable pair he had. :)
