I like the solid silver look of Bobby's logo below. Anyone know how this is done? Just an inlay CNC'd out of silver, or maybe melted silver solder into the cut logo?
Thanks
Mr H
It looks like it is a type of silver inlayed into black phenolic. I'd guess he runs the butt caps off ahead of time, like his ring billets, rather than inlaying each one as part of the cue assembly. It most definitely is not silver solder! While I'm not gaga over floating points or puzzle cues, I love Bobby's attention to detail on his cues. I'm looking forward to seeing what kinds of cues he makes next. JMO ICBW. Martin

Yeah It looks like the part was cut out and inlayed. Maybe a very slight chance It could be cast also, but I'm pretty sure from looking at the picture that It's not a filler mix. If It's a filler mix then It's one I would like to know of, because I have never seen any that would look that realistic. Ofcoarse there are alot of filler products out there these days, so I'm not sure. Pretty sure that It's probably cut and inlayed though.
