Hi
I'm looking for supplier of silver for silver rings and for making
slot rings.
Prather doesn't have any.
thanks, Bill

Atlas had some. I had similar problem as you. Then I couldn't find Sterling silver slot material the same thickness as the rings. I ended up going with prather like .030 Rings with .035 slot material. Closest I could get.

Hi,

I like the look of .020 slots on 12 degree geometry with the .020 silver strips epoxied in phenolic between thin phenolic rings. Thanks to KJs .020 cardide cutter he sold me I am loving these rings.

I just finished matching some new shafts for an Omega DPK like that and when the silver comes off my saw tapering machine, the carbide teeth finished the silver where it sparkles like little jewels. No sanding required.

Atlas has 2 sizes.

You should be able to get them locally where ever you are. You need to take a ring you want made and have a casting made then you just use the "lost wax casting" method. Most jewelry places will do it pretty reasonable. I actually did this with my wife and mine wedding rings. I machined them from aluminum myself and supplied my own gold. They then made the casts made the rings. One thing is with the cues. You want to make rings that are pretty shallow so not use more silver or gold then you have to.
