Simonis Installation DVDs

Hello - first time poster here.
This forum helped me A LOT setting up my used table. Bought a prostar tournament table (copy of a GC IV), but i tweaked it so that it plays much better than original.
Pockets were too big and the angle was a nightmare - 145°. I have now 4,5" / 140° pockets - plays great for me. Did it the right way with subrail-mod, did not stack more facings to achieve the tighter pockets ;) Table turned out really great, but boy this was a hell of a ride! Some work pretty fun, but especially the rail-mod was a nightmare without the right tools.

I recovered the table with the stretch-index method wit Simonis 860 - worked perfectly! The only "problem" now is that I did not do the cushion covering right. The corner pockets are OKish, only some small wrinkles but they dont harm the playability. The bigger problem ist the folding on the sidepockets - I did not stretch it enough and simply did a bad job. Now I have a "nose" on the sidepockets, so that some railshots are impossible. The balls nose simply destroys it...

Maybe you can see it on the picture - sorry for the mess. This was the exactly moment the table was finished and it is the only photo I have - the room is cleaned up now

So my plan is to redo the cushions again - but this time the right way without wrinkles and bad folding. I want to buy the Simonis DVDs, but I dont know where to get them in Europe.
So if anyone has a source for me it would be perfect - thank you guys! (y)

I could not find the DVDs anywhere in Europe, so I got them from Seyberts. It was like a 100€ for both of them, including shipping, taxes and what not. If you decide to go that route, I recommend that you do the customs formalities online right away. I didn't, and had the DVDs stuck in customs for about two weeks and didn't even get notified that they had arrived. Good luck with your build!

Thank you fat tony!
100€... daaaaamn  That is 110$

Shipping and taxes cost more than the product itself. Anyone thougth about making these DVDs downloadable - of course not free. The seller gets paid... But I guess that causes more other "problems" for the sellers and guys who were involved in creating the discs. For the customer it would be MUCH easier.

Glen RKC - dont kill me, just an idea :D Really appreciate all the work of you and the other great mechanics. We got A LOT of informations of you guys for free! Thanks again for that!

Sorry for my english - greetings from Austria!

RKC has a YouTube channel with some content. Can't remember if it has anything on covering the cushions yet.

Nothing for featherstrip-rails. He has some useful videos on his chanel tho- the one with the stretchindex helped me a lot covering my table with Simonis 860. This really turned out perfectly! He has also one for covering valley-rails (I think?)
All I know is that this guy knows what he is doing.

Simonis Headquarters is located in Belgium. Maybe give them a call. Might get the dvd's directly from them.
